Microblading is a manual cosmetic tattooing technique that provides the look of natural brow hair.
Microblading and shading is a technique that combines microblading AND shading to give a more 3 dimensional look, or to better blend natural hair with microbladed hairstrokes. This technique is especially ideal for those with very little to no brow hair, or those with dense natural hair in a concentrated area. Rather than filling in the entire shape of the eyebrow with pigment (felt pen effect), hairs are skillfully drawn in their natural growth direction.
Microblading is the process of inserting pigment into the skin via a sterile micro-needle to simulate the appearance of natural hairs. Microblading is meant create the illusion of hair texture in the brow. This service is best for those with normal to slightly dry skin. This method is not suited for oilier skin types, or those with sensitive or porous/textured skin in the brow area.
Shading is a technique often used in combination with microblading that provides a more dense, three dimensional look. It is performed using a handheld machine that inserts pigment into the skin using a sterile single-use needle cartridge. This is a good option for many people, including those who fill in their brows on a daily basis, those with little to no eyebrow hair, those with very little but dark eyebrow hair, or those with naturally dense/coarse brow hairs. This look is created by combining the hair like microblading strokes with hundreds of tiny pixels of pigment worked between the hairs to provide a fuller look. Often shading is needed in conjunction with microblading to blend themicrobladed hair strokes with your own natural hair growth. This is a combination that can be adjusted and customized during your appointment with an artist.
Ombre brow is a technique for clients who prefer fuller results than hair strokes provide, but still want a soft powdery look. It is performed using a handheld machine that inserts pigment into the skin using a sterile single-use needle cartridge. This technique mimics daily makeup done with eyebrow pencil or shadow. The tails of the brow are darker and fade lighter toward the beginning of the brow, creating a soft makeup effect that lets the fluffiness of your own natural hair texture provide natural looking, soft fronts. This technique is perfect for oilier skin or clients with larger pores. This technique is also great for those who have evenly dispersed brow hairs, and lots of texture from their own hairs, but need a little definition. The powder style brow is more consistently shaded through the whole brow, without leaving as much open space at the fronts as an ombre brow.
